Newfoundland Tower

Docklands, London
Canary Wharf Contractors

Every iconic area has its residential pinnacle, a towering point in the skyline. This tower is the first residential development within the Canary Wharf Estate and is envisioned to complement and enliven the successful office development. Newfoundland Tower is a spectacular and distinctive 60-storey residential skyscraper housing 636 decadent apartments.

Newfoundland’s striking appearance stems from its transparent diagrid structure, also notably used in another famous London landmark, ‘The Gherkin’. Designed by world renowned Horden Cherry Lee, the ‘diamond’ shape will have sloped, sculpted sides and an external frame will give residents more space while also offering privacy on the balconies, shielding each one from being overlooked by their neighbours.

OCL’s contracted works included Knauf Drylining and Ceilings, SAS Metal Ceilings, and Part M&E Conduit Installation.
