Dalston in Hackney is set to get a massive boost through the regeneration of the town centre.

The ambitious scheme will create more than 500 new homes, a library, shops and restaurants.

The scheme includes 14 apartment blocks built of brick, timber and glass. The first phase is due to be completed by the end of 2009. It is committed to using energy efficient measures such as green roofing and combined heat and power

At the heart of this exciting development will be Dalston Square the largest public space built in the area for over 100 years. Proposals for it include childrens play areas, a green oasis and areas for entertainers or exhibitions.

The project consisted of 5 blocks, A, B, C, D & E and there was approximately 15,400m2 of Lightweight Steel Framing.
